Australia-issued police checks
Usually handled inside the Australian main lane. This is the strongest and most commercially stable police-check route, but the file still needs review for issue date, identity setup, and receiving-side validity window.
- Australian Federal Police requires proof of identity documents totalling at least 100 points
- If fingerprints are required, the original fingerprint form must be posted with the application
- Applicants must state the purpose of the police check, and the purpose can affect the result issued
- Passport and identity material ready for pre-screening
- Driver licence, or one supporting item such as visa, Medicare card, utility bill, or bank statement
- Current police-check variant and issue date should be identified before the route is fixed
This screening is for preliminary route assessment only and is not legal advice. Original documents may still be required depending on document type, issuing authority, destination, and receiving-side requirements.
Officially, AFP says most online non-fingerprint certificates are completed within days, while fingerprint checks take 15 to 30 business days. EGS can discuss faster handling on some Australian-side steps, but only after checking whether the file is non-fingerprint or fingerprint-based.
Review note: Best suited where the receiving side is clear and the client is not mixing different police-check variants.
